Located near downtown Waco is the 31,600 square foot Doris Miller YMCA. This building was the original gymnasium on the Paul Quinn campus. Major renovations and additions have revitalized this worn structure such that it may continue to serve the community for years to come. The existing structure now houses the after-school classrooms, teen room and computer room as well as offices, locker rooms, a fitness room, gymnasium, activity rooms, and the aerobics/dance room. The additions house the weight room, elevator, front entrance and the natatorium. The 8500 square foot natatorium incorporates a series of doors that can be coiled open during summer days to enlarge the exterior pool use. The exterior improvements include a zero entry splash pool tied to a recreational pool and basketball and volleyball courts.
