The renovations and additions to the Waco Convention Center is the banner campaign from the May 2007 City of Waco bond election. Once complete, this facility will encompass over 215,000 sf. at a total project cost of over $15 million. Additions will provide much needed pre-function space at both the north and south sides of the building, restrooms, and new accommodations for administration and staff. The addition of a grand terrace overlooking the Brazos River on the east side of the building is much anticipated as a key element of the project. Renovations will include a major update and reconfiguration to the Bosque Theater, new meeting spaces, full service kitchen, restrooms, escalators, service elevators and general updates to all public spaces. Exterior aesthetics are signature improvements where sweeping elevations of glass, masonry and metal panel promise a modern, inviting and inspiring appeal.
