The City of Waco asked RBDR to design a new state-of-the-art multipurpose community center. The result is a 20,000 square-foot building that provides the community with a multitude of spaces for meetings, recreational / athletic activities, technology, mentoring, and counseling. The facility incorporates an ample amount of natural light, calming and fun colors, and stimulating patterns, all housed in an environment designed with safety and security in mind.

Our designers worked hand-in-hand with the client to pull together materials that met the durability requirements inherent in public space without sacrificing the design elements that are so critical to community engagement. The community’s reaction to these concepts has been overwhelmingly positive. This project was completed within budget and on schedule.
