The five story design is based on a 10 bed module with 3 modules per floor to allow flexibility of floor use as needs arise. The exterior façade repeats the clean modern lines of the existing structure. The first floor consolidates outpatient cardiac units. The second floor relocates and expands the intensive care unit to 30 beds. The third floor adds a 30 bed nursing unit for cardiac patients. Floors four and five provide shell space for future expansion.

Renovations included expansion of surgery by adding six new operating rooms, relocating and expanding PACU, doubling the size of the pharmacy, and expanding the doctor's lounge.
